The History

In the 16th century, France celebrated the New Year just like we do today, except they partied on April 1st. In 1562, Pope Gregory changed the calendar to the one we use today and from then on, the New Year began on January 1st. Lots of peeps didn't know about the new calendar, or they ignored the new calendar and kept celebrating on April 1st. Everyone else called them April fools and played tricks on them.

Fools Around the World

In France today, April 1st is called Poisson d'Avril, which means April Fish. Children tape paper fish to their friends' backs and when the young "fool" finds out, the prankster yells "Poisson d'Avril!" In England, tricks can only be played in the morning. If a trick is played on you, you are a "noodle." In Scotland, you are called an "April gowk," which is another name for a cuckoo bird. In Portugal, April Fools' is celebrated on the Sunday and Monday before Lent. Pranksters usually throw flour at their friends

Spare Change

This April Fool's practical joke is old but it still works. Superglue some coins to the sidewalk or any spot that has a lot of people walking around. Make sure it's an appropriate place, then watch people break fingernails to get the coins.

This is one of THE best tricks I know! First you put Saran Wrap or any other clear plastic wrap over the toilet, between the bowl and the seat. Do this at night so it is harder to see. Then when someone goes to the bathroom, SURPRISE! Oh, and a scream. I don't recommend this because I got grounded for 3 months when I tried it. It's funny, and messy, so if you don't take my advice and do it anyway, be ready to clean up the mess! EWW!!!

lol. can do the coin thing next year when we don't have school. malaysians will pick it up right. i remembered a 20 cent coin on the floor and was lazy to pick it up. then the next person also didn't pick up. haha.

As everyone knows, todays April fools day aka All Fools Day... The time when childish ppl like me play lame jokes on ppl. and laugh hysterically. So this year... Victim number 1 goes too..... EUNICE! hahahaha

KYE:U better buy me a new pendrive. Im serious. d exact same brand and colour.kingston. Author's note*ooooh... so serious* nyehahaha. If she did think carefully, i told her her pendrive was so close to being in my washing machine the same day. so i can't lose it THAT fast*

but it was only a thin line. so counted? haha. eunice kena april fooled twice. cyn kena thrice. gp telling everyone not to trust me and cyn on april fools day. hahah. eunice didn't wanna believe me anymore. teacher was coming in class..

April Fool was fun. Doesn't seem so funny now that i've typed it out. but it was hilarious then. cyn. you are so blur. just remembered that i forgot to fool ppl in choir. damn.

haha. there's one time where jmin asked us if we wanted water. Nobody replied cause everyone was in deep concentration. fun! haha. i was the last one to go. was googling earth hour and cupcakes and neopets. haha. georgians are good. they all switched off lights. sabby was playin scrabble with her parents. cool! haha. my scrabble board is currently collecting dust and looks brand new. cyn's place has no electric. haha. so chun! i wasn't at home. was at bukit mertajam. nobody there switched off the lights. coffee shop super bright. they didn't even dim the lights. 9 o'clock only i remembered and smsed everyone. haha. everyone already switched it off.
